BRUCE A. OLIVER

Mr. Oliver is a registered Landscape Architect and Construction Contractor in California, and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, ASLA. He holds two professional degrees in Landscape Architecture. He is a recognized Green Roof and Green Wall Professional in North America. His skills and experience are particularly suited to environmental planning efforts as applied to a variety of project types. He has a proven track record for successfully leading design teams on complex projects encompassing resource inventory and analysis in a development scenario. He has been responsible for developing comprehensive ecologically based design criteria leading to innovative design solutions.

 

With over 35 years of professional practice, Mr. Oliver has worked at the principal level of several firms as well as in his own professional practice. From 1984 to 1990, Mr. Oliver served as a faculty member at University of California, Los Angles Extension teaching in the Landscape Architecture Program. Mr. Oliver served as faculty chairman in 1986. In the next two subsequent years, he served as a member of the guidance committee for the program. From 1995 through 1999, Mr. Oliver was an instructor with the University of California, Irvine Extension teaching in the areas of large scale master planning. Currently, as an Adjunct Professor, he teaches a variety of courses in the MBA program at Brandman University with an emphasis on sustainability and corporate social responsibility.​

STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY


The diversity of project types and experience has served to compliment Mr. Oliver’s design palette as he strives to bring renewed awareness to sustainable development. Coupled with experience in wide variety of geographic and climatically challenging environments, his overall project experience has provided him with the ability to adapt and work successfully on multi-faceted and regionally diverse projects. His on-going commitment to energy conservation and his inherent sensitivity to environmental issues are demonstrated through an Eco-systematic approach towards net zero regenerative developments.
